PERMANENT FULL TIME CLINICAL NURSE SPECIALIST

Saint John of Liffey Services supports individuals with intellectual
disabilities to be active participants within the community that they
live in. Applications are invited for full time permanent posts of
Clinical Nurse Specialist Ageing Health & Wellbeing based in the
Celbridge area.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST BE:
* On current register as maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery
Board of Ireland.
* RNID/RGN/RPN qualification with preferably five years post
registration experience, ideally supporting people with intellectual
disabilities.
* Additional relevant healthcare qualification desirable.
* Ability to promote and facilitate the health and wellbeing of
people with ID who are ageing.
* Person centred care for ageing service users.
* Supporting care planning for cognitive decline, and developing
systems and links to primary care services.
* Strong clinical, managerial and administrative skills evident in
previous roles.
* Able to demonstrate excellent leadership qualities and work with a
range of disciplines/professions.
* Demonstrate evidence of continued commitment to professional
development.
* Excellent communication skills essential.
* Excellent knowledge and understanding of relevant Health Act
Regulations, HIQA standards and all other relevant legislation.
* Full clean manual driving license and access to own vehicle.
* Management qualification desirable.
